Yesterday

It was a great evening yesterday!
My family and Alex's family gathered all together to watch photos and videos from Crete at Alex's parents' house. We didn't watch anything, though)))) But we did have a great meal (Alex's dad cooks so well.yum). Too bad those Cretan sweets we brought weren't good enough, at least not so tasty as in the hotel's restaurant =(
Kids played a lot!Lion loves playing with his two cute cousins))) Besides,he slept very well last night after that))))

A walk to Chersonissos

Chersonissos/Hersonissos is a small harbor town situated not so far from Laguna hotel. We did'n want to go there by bus or taxi, but wanted to have a small walk and see some Cretan sights.

We went there without a map or even a sneak peek of it for the first time. That was kinda silly of us, have to admit))) but my intuition helped us out a bit in the beginning and we did choose a right way,but after one misunderstanding (we asked some guy if we were going right) we thought we had taken the wrong turn. So no Chersonissos for us that day))))

On our second journey we went the same way,but I had checked the map before that, so after about 50 minutes we finally reached the town! :) Yay!
We were walking and watching beautiful Cretan sights and gorgeous sea all the way there! It was rather tiring though(lots of hills and a toddler in the stroller- this can't be called the best combo ever, I'd say))))

On our way home we did take a taxi,it was too dark for a walk :)

Some pics

Less talk more photos today.
These are taken on our first Cretan evenings. There was a dress code in the restaurant after 6 p.m. - so no beach wear at the dinner :)
As I have already written, we usually had a meal, then walked a little bit and then had an ice cream cone or a non alcoholic cocktail drink and walked a bit more :)

Our usual cretan daily routine :)))

We usually got up in 8-9 o'clock in the morning and had breakfast. My faves were pancakes with chocolate, cherry jam and delicious Greek yogurt. Sooo yummy! :)
Then we had some free time, I usually enjoyed the sun and the swimming pool, boys enjoyed the swings, slides, cats, dogs and watching lawn-mowers do their job( Lion could just sit for hours staring at them for some reason)))
After that we usually had fun on the beach, playing with sand and swimming in the gorgeous, crystal clear sea water!Oh, it was such a pleasure!

Then we had lunch, Lion had lunch and some mummy's milk and went to bed. And I had a sunbed and the swimming pool waiting for me out there :)

In the evenings we usually walked a lot, had dinner, ate ice cream in the creperie bar or enjoyed a non alcoholic cocktail in the all day bar, had fun in the kids' mini-disco and sometimes watched the animation team show. How I miss those evenings now!
Here are some photos.

...and something about our hotel

As it was our very first flight together with baby Lion we were really worried about how it will last. But very interested too! :)
We arrived to the hotel- Mitsis Laguna Exclusive Resort and Spa at approximately 11.30 in the morning. The lobby looked so beautiful, we were given damp scented towels to refresh ourselves -that was so spot on by the way))
Then we had a great meal in the main restaurant, checked some of the hotel grounds, had a shower and a power nap.
In the evening we were ready for some dinner and a big walk around, during which we totally fell in love with our hotel! It wasn't that big, but still very nice, clean and beautiful!
Here are some pics of the hotel and our room.
We had a family room on the first floor facing the pool. It was spacious with two zones(I will show that later). The interior was as much comfortable for me as possible! It was 100% me! That means 100% happy and relaxed me =)))) That means happy and relaxed husband of mine =))))

In Love with beautiful Crete!

Yesterday we came back home from the paradise island - Crete.

It was so sad to leave, the only thing which cheered me up was a VS body mist, which I bough in the airport ( we don't have anything from VS in Estonia, and the first thing I noticed when entering the tax free zone was a beauty shop with VS corner)))) )
When departing we still enjoyed +26 and got shocked when arriving to the autumn with its +6 :(
No sun, no smiles,no warm sea...

We liked Crete very much, mostly because of kind and friendly people, as it is a very rear thing to find nowadays! They were always smiling, laughing, making jokes, playing with our little Lion, always ready to help and to have a small nice chat! Besides, we made many friends in the hotel itself with personnel, animators and other tourists from the UK, who were really nice, polite and kind too! I wish we could stay there longer! :)
We stayed for 10 nights, so I'm planning to make several posts about our holidays here in blogspot.
But now, I have to unpack(I hate doing this so much)))) and to have some rest after our tiring flight (it wasn't that easy because of our baby Lion)))

Our Sunday

That day was a perfection!
First we went shopping with my mum.
But time flies when you have fun))) So we only visited several shops.
And as a result ,we ended up purchasing a brow pencil - Precision Brow Pencil GloMinerals, a new carrier for Lion and some clothing for him as well. It's time to prepare for fall and winter, so we bought him a new jacket and a hat. But we didn't find any bottom, though. Everything was either too big or too small =(
After that we went to have a dinner at Alex's parents house all together. Lion was really happy to be surrounded by so many people who love him! Besides, when we visit relatives, Lion is usually allowed mostly everything and everywhere (I hope it won't spoil him very much))) and is more than satisfied with this))
Oh, and sorry, pics turned out to be very poor in quality =(
